First winter rain hits Lahore, other parts of Punjab

Partly cloudy weather conditions are expected in upper parts of the country.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Different parts of Punjab province including Lahore, Gujrat, Chakwal, Talagang, Pindi Bhattian, Daska, Nankana Sahab, Hafizabad, Kamoke, Sahiwal and Sargodha received first winter rain on the night between Friday and Saturday, providing much needed relief from the dry weather.
Temperatures dropped even further as the late night showers increased the chill in the air. Dense smog that had blanketed the city earlier also reduced due to the drizzle.

According to Met Office, shallow fog and smog is expected in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur divisions during morning hours.
Partly cloudy weather is likely to prevail in upper parts of the country today. However, light rain thunderstorm with snow over the hills is expected at scattered places in Kohat, Bannu divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Temperature in Islamabad early morning was recorded at 10°C, Lahore and Peshawar 14°C, Karachi 19°C, Quetta 02°C, Gilgit 03°C, Murree 08°C and Muzaffarabad 09°C.
