Govt needs to improve governance, avoid imposing RGST: Nawaz
PML-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif said that government has failed to contain inflation and unemployment. Talking to financial team led by Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh who met him at Raiwind, Nawaz Sharif said that people were already under huge burden of poverty and new taxes will put more burden on them, thats why the government should improve governance and avoid imposing new taxes. He said that PML-N will support government in its every pro-people project. He said that government needs to stop corruption first, then it should impose taxes on the affluent class. He said that RGST will come up with a flood of inflation which will be disastrous for the people. He said that government should improve the economy. Hafeez Sheikh said that he tried to agree Nawaz over RGST. Shahbaz Sharif said that government should provide immediate relief to the people. Meanwhile, talking to PML-Q members Pir Aslam Bodla, Senator Javed Ali Shah and former MPA Syed Mujahid Ali Shah in Raiwind, Nawaz said that he always kept ahead the interest of Pakistan and people. He said that Pakistan was facing a number of challenges including inflation, unemployment, poverty and security. He said that his party will start pro-people projects if elected again. PML-Q members lauded Nawazs role for strengthening democracy.
