Border tensions: PM Nawaz to chair cabinet meeting today
The cabinet meeting will be held in the Prime Minister's secretariat Islamabad today (Friday).
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will chair the cabinet meeting in the Prime Minister s secretariat Islamabad today (Friday), Dunya News reported.
The meeting was summoned by PM Nawaz to discuss the growing tensions between India and Pakistan after the Indian army opened unprovoked fir at the LoC in which two Pakistani soldiers were killed. The meeting will have consultation on giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression.
The cabinet meeting will be briefed about border security, army preparations and foreign affairs in view of the postponement of SAARC conference.
PM Nawaz will also take the cabinet into confidence over his US visit and the steps formulated for national defense.
