Rana Sanullah assures to provide foolproof security for Raiwind march
Preparations for the march are in full swing as participants held warm-up protest at Lalik Chowk.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday has assured that the provincial government will provide foolproof security to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters for Raiwind march due on September 30 at Adda Plot.
The minister said that those who will be lacking money for fare would also be taken to the venue if the need arises.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that the party will not obstruct PTI rally headed for Raiwind while Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali In a jovial manner said that Tsunami’s shorten size would drown the venue.
On the other hand, preparations for Raiwind march are in full swing as participants including women held warm-up protest at Lalik Chowk in Lahore.
The locals chanted slogans against the incumbent government and said that they are ready to follow the instructions of Imran Khan.
On the day of rally, road leading the way from Thokar Niaz Baig will meet the one that connects motorway with Raiwind at Qazalbash Chowk which will serve as the entry point while vehicles arriving from Kala Shah Kaku will also meet the main gathering there.
The groups joining the march from Multan GT Road will get an entry from Bhubhatian Chowk while Ferozpur Road will also be used for the purpose.
Vehicles from Defence Road will be able to reach Raiwind Road through Kahna Flyover after driving past Gajjumatta area.
Chairman of PTI, Imran Khan is pursuing pressure tactics against the government for which he has called a protest march in Lahore towards premier’s residence in Raiwind on September 30.
Activists and workers of the opposition party will rally against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s alleged corruption.
Imran Khan has been alleging the premier of corruption ever since Panama Papers published documents belonging to a law firm in April that contained list of names of different incumbent and former leaders in the world who owned offshore companies.
PTI among other opposition parties strongly reacted to the fact that two sons and a daughter of PM Nawaz owned shell companies. The political parties accused the premier of using the companies to stash wealth abroad and evading taxes.
