Pakistani market attractive for foreign investors: PM Nawaz
Nawaz asks USPBC to play its role in urging US lawmakers to allow market access to Pakistani goods.
NEW YORK (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistani market is very attractive for foreign investors. He stated this in a speech after a luncheon hosted by US-Pakistan Business Council (USPBC) in his honour on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
Nawaz Sharif said that the current level of 3 percent inflation in Pakistan is lowest in the past 47 years and added that the interest rate is also at the lowest level in four decades.
Prime Minister further said that there are ample opportunities for investors in the fields of oil, gas, energy and IT in Pakistan. He also stressed the need to take measures to increase the trade volume between the two countries.
Nawaz Sharif also asked the US-Pakistan Business Council to play its role in urging the US lawmakers to allow preferential market access to Pakistani goods.
