Those demanding accountability are minorities of the Parliament while majority supports PM: Talal Ch

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - United opposition and government has gone one-on-one over Panama Leaks issue on Thursday while talking to the media Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders criticised opposition over Panama affairs, reported Dunya News.

PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said that rather than probing the issue, opposition alliance has formed against Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif. Those who own 150 offshore companies have been demanding accountability, he added.

He said that questions asked in Parliament will be answered in Parliament as the government will not respond over opposition’s dictation. The PM has not been named in offshore companies and that relevant departments do have the details of PM’s tax returns.

Those demanding accountability are minorities of the Parliament while majority supports PM he said. PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair said that PM does not own any offshore company but his sons do so and all offshore companies owned by them are totally legal as they have been doing business abroad for a long time.

He said that no allegation against PM proved to be true during Former President Pervez Musharraf’s regime. PM has submitted tax returns annually, he added.

Not to forget that opposition formed a questionnaire consisting 7 questions whereas instead of answering those questions government has also formed a questionnaire for opposition in return.
