New revelations; Taseer dropped at Kuchlak on Mullah Akhtar's advice

Shahbaz Taseer remained in custody of Afghan Taliban for nearly four and a half months.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – New significant revelations were made Friday during Dunya News program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath” regarding the former Governor Punjab Salman Taseer’s son Shahbaz Taseer’s release from extremist militants after his abduction from Lahore in 2011. According to the latest revelations, Taseer was dropped in Kuchlak area of Balochistan province on advice of Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour.
According to the details, after Taseer’s release from the hands of Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, he remained in Afghan Taliban’s captivity under an Uzbek for nearly four and a half months.
Renowned journalist Rahimullah Yousafzai stated during the program that after a clash with the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Taseer remained under the custody of Commander Mullah Matiullah. Yousafzai further stated that Taseer had kept identifying himself as a British citizen as well.
It was during this time that Taseer was shifted, as part of a motorcycle cavalcade, first to the Pak-Afghan border and then to Kuchlak area through a difficult route on the advice of Mullah Akhtar Mansour.
Sources from Taseer’s family have also informed that he was tortured during his captivity as well.
The Afghan Taliban had earlier been credited with retrieving kidnapped Taseer after misinformed reports that he was saved in an operation by the security forces.
