HARIPUR (Dunya News) – Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Saturday stated that more than 11 crore trees have been planted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) while the Punjab government is focusing on Metro Bus and Orange Line Train projects to make commission.

Talking to media after inaugurating billion tree tsunami plantation campaign in Haripur, PTI chief Imran Khan assured that WWF has declared 85 percent of the campaign as successful.

He said that the enclosures in the forests where these trees are flourishing have been cordoned off whereas locals, youth, women and elderly are getting money to grow the plants and to care the nurseries.

Imran Khan said that in Changa Manga only 5000 trees out of 75,000 are remaining.

Lashing out at deputy speaker, he that forest land in Rajanpur has been illegally occupied while in Murree division, 40,000 pinewood trees have been cut down.

Khan further urged the nation to decide that who is working for the benefit of the people.
