ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan have been postponed with mutual consent, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the dialogue process that was already slow took another turn when the Foreign Secretary level talks were postponed.

Indian officials have termed Pakistan’s steps against terrorism ‘commendable’ and said they would welcome investigation team.

Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah has said they are in contact with India to determine new date of the meeting. He said he has no knowledge of National Security Advisers’ meeting in Paris.

The spokesman also termed Afghan Ambassador’s statement regarding Pakistanis’ inclusion in IS as baseless.

In weekly briefing to the media, the FO spokesman said he cannot confirm whether Maulana Masood Azhar has been taken into protective custody or not.

The Foreign Office spokesman also condemned the explosions in Indonesia and said Pakistan opposes every kind of terrorism.

Meanwhile, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup said in a press conference in Delhi that the talks have been postponed with mutual consent and that new schedule will be announced soon.

He said Foreign Secretaries of both countries are in talks on this matter. He further said India welcomes Pakistan’s announcement of forming an investigation team over Pathankot attack and that Pakistan’s crackdown against the banned outfit Jaish Mohammad is praiseworthy.
