Thick fog settles over various cities of Punjab, reduces visibility
Lahore, Khanewal, Chichawatni, Sahiwal, Okara, Pattoki and Sheikhupura are under dense fog.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A thick blanket of fog has settled over various cities of Punjab province early Thursday morning reducing visibility to just 30 meters. Motorway has been closed from Babu Sabu to Sheikhupura and Lahore due to the extreme weather condition. Traffic has been diverted towards G.T road.
Lahore, Khanewal, Chichawatni, Sahiwal, Okara, Pattoki and Sheikhupura are currently experiencing the dense fog settlement.
Drivers are being advised to remain alert on National Highway in light of the weather and to avoid unnecessary travel, say Motorway officials.
Motorway Spokesperson has advised motorists to use fog lights, wipers and should avoid cell phone use while driving.
