SC not authorized to strike down constitutional amend : Sindh AG

Supreme Court resumed hearing of the petitions against some clauses of 18th amendment on Monday. A 17-member bench under the head of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is hearing the case. During the course of hearing, Sindh Advocate General Yousuf Leghari contended that the court could interfere into any constitutional amendment made by the Parliament. He argued that since the 18th amendment case is sub judice, the court could not give extension orders to the ad hoc judges. The SC adjourned the case till tomorrow.
