'I am proud of Isfand Yar's martyrdom, no need for condolences': Father of Capt Isfand Yar

He was awarded sword of honor in PMA while he played in Punjab under-19 hockey team

(Web Desk) – Father of martyred Army Captain Isfand Yar Bukhari has refused to receive condolences on the arrival of his son’s body to his native town in Attock. He has said that he is proud of his son’s martyrdom and if need be, he is also ready to sacrifice his life for the country.

Capt Isfandyar embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly against the terrorists who attacked PAF airbase camp in Badaber area on Friday morning.

According ISPR, the 27-year-old soldier was leading his troops from the front during the clearance operation. 

Captain Isfandyar Bukhari was wing commander of 48th Jinnah Wing Entry. He had received Sword of Honour in 118th Long Course and was awarded Tactics Medal as well.

Separately, he remained vice captain of his college hockey team and played Punjab under-19 hockey.

He was chess champion at college, president of the biology club, editor of the college megazine and remained member of the board of editors for five years.
