TDAP corruption case exposed in "Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath"
The highly watched program uncovered the incidence of corruption in TDAP of worth Rs. 10 billion.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dunya News’ leading show “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath” exposed the ongoing and past corruption incidents in the country. The highly watched program uncovered the incidence of corruption in Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) of worth Rs. 10 billion that occurred during the rule of the previous government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). During the program, the Prime Minister (PM) was also reminded of his promise of a corruption free Pakistan. On the basis of documented evidence, it was also revealed during the show that the government had sent to the storage room, 14 cases of corruption against former PM Yousaf Raza Gillani and former Minister for Trade Amin Fahim for the past whole year and no action has been taken against them.
According to the documents, a policy of ignorance was followed even with the written statement made by Mohammad Zubair, the right hand man of the former PM and Deputy Speaker, regarding the fact that the details of the corruption case along with the corruption money had been deposited in Gillani’s account.
During the show, videos of statements made by PM Nawaz Sharif’s calling for a corruption free Pakistan were also shown. Reference was also made towards the statements made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s chairman (PTI) Imran Khan regarding the collusion between PPP and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
A legal advice for the situation was sought from senior lawyer S.M Zafar.
Veteran journalist Kamran Khan commented that verbal promises and claims will not be accepted. He stated that the PM needs to fulfill his promise in order to prove the concepts of critics as wrong
