Nawaz summons PML-N candidates for coming Senate elections
Alliances are being formed for Senate elections and political meetings are on the rise
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The battle for seats of Senate will take place in March, however preparations are already underway. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting on Monday in Islamabad.
Members of the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentary board will also take part in the meeting. The candidates will be taken into confidence before the final verdict is passed.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also called a meeting, headed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in anticipation for the Senate elections. Shah Mehmood has formed a 4-member committee for the parliamentary board.
PTI like-minded group has alleged that there is a conspiracy to give party tickets to incompetent candidates.
