Federal govt issues report about implementation of NAP

As many as 958 people were arrested from Punjab while at least 244 from Sindh
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government on Friday has issued a report regarding implementation of the National Action Plan. The report states that at least 14 terrorists were hanged in Punjab post-Peshawar massacre while as many as 166,000 Afghans have been registered all over the country.
The implementation of the National Action Plan continues in the country upon the Prime Minister (PM) directives. According to the report issued by the federal government, at least 14 militants have been hanged in Punjab, as many as 5 in Sindh and one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). As many as 5,487 search operations were conducted in Punjab, as many as 322 in Sindh, 1,223 in KP, at least 12 in Balochistan and 275 search operations were conducted in Islamabad.
During these search operations, as many as 958 people were arrested from Punjab, at least 244 from Sindh, 234 from KP, as many as 288 from Balochistan while at least 235 people were arrested from Islamabad. Moreover, the report states that at least 329 people have been arrested in Punjab for deliverance of hate-speeches and as many as 10 from KP.
Furthermore, as many as 2,837 cases have been registered in Punjab for misuse of loud speaker while at least 1,471 people have been arrested out of these cases. At least 14 people have been arrested in Islamabad for misuse of loud speaker. The security forces seized hate-material from at least 1,085 locations in Punjab.
Moreover, at least 166,000 Afghan refugees have been registered in Punjab. However, the rest of the provinces have not provided figures regarding this.
