PM Nawaz leaves for Bahrain

Both sides will focus on further enhancement of bilateral relations in various field.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Bahrain today (Wednesday) on a two-day visit at the invitations of Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation.
Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy excellent bilateral relations in all fields. The two countries also closely cooperate at international forums like the UN and OIC.
Bahrain hosts over 100,000 Pakistanis, who are contributing to the development of the Kingdom and are a bridge between the peoples of two countries.
The King of Bahrain paid his first State visit to Pakistan in March 2014 at the invitation of the Prime Minister. During the visit, several agreements and memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the fields of economic development, food security, investment, labour, and water and power, etc. were signed.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will have meetings with the King and his counterpart besides calls on him by select Ministers of Bahrain. The delegation-level talks and tête-à-tête with the King will focus on further enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields, including energy cooperation, manpower employment, trade and investment, and defence.
