Karachi: FIR registered against Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Aziz
MQM workers registered the FIR in Azizabad police station.
KARACHI (Dunya News)— An FIR was registered against Lal Masjid chief Maulana Abdul Aziz in a police station in Karachi on the request of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday.
The FIR was filed against Abdul Aziz for his threatening statements against MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Abdul Aziz is also accused of terrorism, igniting violence and other criminal offenses.
The FIR was registered in Azizabad police station of Karachi.
Earlier, MQM chief had called for the arrest of Aziz for sympathizing with terrorists and demanded army to shut down Jamia Hafsa seminary.
