Multan: PTI boycotts NA-149 by-elections
PTI has decided to expand parameters of sit-ins to Multan and Lahore; dates would soon be declared.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi said by-elections in constituency NA-149 Multan have been boycotted post party consultation.
He said that PTI is a political party and the decision to boycott by-elections has been taken after due consideration. We shall soon reveal the reason to why none of PTI’s member would contest the election against Javed Hashmi, he added.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed Javed Hashmi stating needs no reason to meet any diplomat in clandestine. He further said he has been the foreign minister of the country and is more acquainted with diplomatic ethics and etiquettes than Javed Hashmi.
On the other hand, all the primary leadership has been summoned for a meeting in Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s container at Parade Avenue at 2 pm today. PTI has decided to expand the sit-ins country-wide. A meeting constituting the senior leadership would decide the dates for Lahore and Multan sit-ins whereas the future strategy of sit-ins would also be finalized. President PTI Punjab Ijaz Chaudhry has also been called for the meeting.
