Army chief to meet Khan, Qadri tonight: DG ISPR
Army takes an active role in negotiations upon PM's request: ISPR
LAHORE (Dunya News, Web Desk) – As political tension diffuses, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif is scheduled to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri to further the process of mediation between the protestors and the federal government to reach a consensus within 24 hours.
In a tweet by Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Bajwa, it was stated that COAS would meet Khan and Qadri for the process of mediation tonight in Islamabad.

Prior to this development, COAS met with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to discuss the current political crisis where the PM requested him to play an active role in resolving the crisis, reportedly.
