Heavy weapons recovered from Karachi bound train, three arrested
The train was travelling from Lahore to Karachi.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Railway police have recovered heavy weapons from a coach of Shalimar Express train on Friday, Dunya news reported.
As per details, three suspects identified as Haris, Shafi and Israr have been arrested for shifting the arms to Karachi without permit.
Amid tight security at Lahore Railway Station, the suspects managed to sneak weapons through security officials, CCTV cameras and walkthrough gates.
The weapons include 28 pistols, seven kalashnikov and more than thousand bullets.
Police have contacted the home ministry for further action in this regard.
