Imran Khan launches 'Greenery to Prosperity' campaign
PTI Chief Imran Khan has said US war against terrorism has badly affected Pakistan and its people.
PESHAWAR: (Web Desk) -- Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) head Imran Khan on Sunday inaugurated “Greenery to Prosperity” campaign.
Under this mega project‚ over two billion saplings will be planted in the province over next five years to counter the challenges of global warming and climatic change.
Speaking on the occasion, Imran Khan said that all government-owned rest houses would be commercialized so that their income could be spent for the welfare of people.
He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in natural resources and provincial government will initiate projects to utilize these resources.
Imran Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would soon start work on micro hydel power projects. “We will generate our own electricity in the province,” he said.
To a question, he said that some slaves had held the whole nation hostage for dollars.
“Rulers are killing their own people in return for money,” he alleged. “There is no dearth of Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq even today.”
