PM Nawaz telephones Army Chief to discuss security situation
TTP claimed responsibility for recent bomb blasts in Bannu district and Rawalpindi.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif held a telephonic conversation to discuss current security situation of the country, Dunya News reported.
The telephonic conversation was held in the backdrop of yesterday’s terrorist attack in Bannu and suicide blast in Rawalpindi this morning, targeting the security forces.
The Prime Minister expressed his profound grief over the recent terrorist attacks targeting security personnel.
Both agreed finalise a joint anti-terrorism strategy and convene a high level meeting to discuss the security situation.
