IG KP vows not to surrender before miscreants
Funeral prayer of police constable killed by firing of unidentified men was offered at Police Line.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News):-Inspector General Police Ihsan Ghani has said that operation against miscreants will be continued without any compromise or compulsion where it needed.
He expressed these things after offering funeral prayer of police constable in Pushtakhra. Chief secretary Arbab Shehzad, CCPO Liaqat Ali and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The IG said that police were being targeted by miscreants in order to down their morale; however, security forces would never surrender before terrorists who have nothing to do the future of the nation; rather their mission is to harass the masses for their vested interests.
He said that it was also decided in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary that special measures would be taken in order to maintain law and order situation in the country and intelligence agencies would also be consulted for further operation.
IGP said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is confronted by severe challenges as forces are assisting polio teams and internally displaced persons (IDPs) as well.
