Rain breaks heat spell in Lahore

Rawalpindi� Islamabad and several other cities received heavy showers early this morning.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The much-needed rain finally broke the prolonged heat spell in Lahore and adjoining towns on Saturday, providing the much-desired relief against extremely muggy weather.
The city roads witnessed traffic jams during the rain, causing a lot of inconvenience to people.
Meanwhile, isolated heavy falls are also likely in upper Punjab and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa throughout the day.
According to met office‚ Rawalpindi received 71 milimetres rain‚ Islamabad 27‚ Kakul 26‚ Murree 25 and Balakot 21 milimetres rain.
Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:
Islamabad‚ 22 degree centigrade‚ Lahore and Peshawar 28‚ Karachi 30‚ Quetta 26‚ Murree 16‚ Gilgit 24 and Muzaffarabad 23 degree centigrade.
