Showbiz stars express solidarity with the victims
(Web Desk) – Killing of a man and a woman on the order of Jirga in Balochistan has saddened all and sundry, with the celebrities who have expressed sorrow over the disturbing incident, and at the same spoken out against taking of lives for so-called honour.
Celebrities across Pakistan have taken to social media to condemn the brutal ‘honour killings’. The case gained widespread attention after a harrowing video circulated online, showing armed men dragging the couple from a vehicle and leading them into the desert, where they were shot at point-blank range.
Actor Hania Aamir posted a powerful message on Instagram, using the moment to highlight the broader issue of gender inequality in Pakistan.
“If women were to start killing for honour, no man would remain,” her post read — a stark commentary on the deep-rooted patriarchal mindset.
Actress Tamkenat Mansoor voiced her outrage, writing: “This society hates women,” — echoing the sentiments of many disillusioned by the persistent violence against women in the country.
Veteran actor Nauman Ijaz described the incident as “deeply disturbing and heart-wrenching,” calling it a “raw betrayal of humanity.” Ahsan Khan linked the tragedy to a lack of education and tolerance, expressing hope that greater access to education could prevent such acts in the future.

Talhah Yunus of the Young Stunners also amplified the incident by sharing it on his Instagram Stories, helping to spread awareness among younger audiences.
As the situation continues to unfold, more public figures are using their platforms to demand justice, raise awareness, and challenge the cultural practices that continue to endanger lives in the name of ‘honour.’
