Revenue authority freezes her bank account to collect outstanding dues
LAHORE: (Web Desk) - Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has frozen the bank account of famous TikToker Nosheen Syed aka Dolly to collect Rs16 million tax, which she failed to pay despite repeated notices by the authority.
The authority has so far received Rs4.4 million in tax from the outstanding amount of Rs16 million after freezing her bank account.
It warns that additional measures may be taken, including property seizures and freezing of other accounts, to recover the remaining tax amount from the defaulter.
Dolly faced the action over her failure to pay income tax dues on her beauty salon.
In a statement, the PRA said the freeze on her account was a necessary step in response to the repeated notices issued to Dolly for the payment of her outstanding tax.
The authority maintains that they have made multiple attempts to bring her into compliance, but non-payment left them with no other option, but to freeze her bank account.
