Censor board postpones ‘OMG 2’ release, demands various scenes removed
(Web Desk) - The Censor Board is said to have postponed the August 11 release of Akshay Kumar's forthcoming movie OMG 2.
The board required 35 changes to the movie after discovering several serious flaws in OMG 2. Not only that, but it also asked that Kumar's role as Lord Shiva be changed to that of Lord Shiva's messenger.
According to recent reports, the movie's trailer will be released in the coming days because the board has certified it as U/A.
However, no formal launch will be made to mark the occasion.
Prior to this, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Deepika Padukone's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani never held a formal trailer release ceremony instead of releasing it immediately on social media.
Akshay Kumar plays Lord Shiva in the Amit Rai-directed film OMG 2. Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam play important parts in the movie as well. According to India Today, the satirical comedy-drama is a follow-up to the 2012 film OMG, which starred Paresh Rawal in the title character.
