Sonakshi Sinha's Dahaad, a crime-thriller series, to release on May 12

MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha recently revealed details about her upcoming crime-thriller series Dahaad.

The actress, who was present at the trailer launch of the show in Mumbai, spoke about her role in the series and the representation of female cops on screen.

Sonakshi's character in Dahaad is very different from her previous roles, including her famous portrayal of Rajjo in the Dabangg franchise.

The actress stated that her character is very real and raw, and knows what she wants - to get justice, no matter what. Sonakshi hopes that her character, Anjali Bhaati, becomes the representation of strong and real women cops on screen.

Speaking about the series, Sonakshi said, "There are so many stories to be told and this was just one such story that came to me and I think I got really lucky with this one. As an actor, very rarely you get roles that just hit you bang in the face and you are like you have to do it."

Dahaad is an eight-episode series that follows the story of a female cop and her fight for justice. The show is set to release on May 12 and is already generating buzz among fans.
