Ali Zafar still part of Dear Zindagi's cast
It all came after the promotional song of Dear Zindagi featured Tahir Bhasin and not Ali Zafar.
MUMBAI (Dunya News) – Refuting replacement reports, Ali Zafar continues to be a part of Dear Zindagi.
Rumors were doing rounds that Ali has been axed from the cast of the movie following the extremists threats.
It all came after the promotional song of ‘Dear Zindagi’ featured Tahir Bhasin and not Ali Zafar.
"Ali has not been replaced by Tahir and is still very much part of the film. Tahir was called on to shoot a promotional music video
for the film. The actor shot the music video with Alia Bhatt in Mumbai," suggest Indian media reports.
The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and is directed by Gauri Shinde.
Previously, Fawad Khan starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ was barred from screening in India after being surrounded with huge controversy that was brought up afterwards Uri attacks, for which India wrongly blamed Pakistan.
Pakistani artists were banned from working in India whereas India’s Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association (COEA) said it would not show any films featuring Pakistani artists at single screen cinemas across four states.
But after the film’s director Karan Johar assured that he will not cast Pakistani actors anymore and released a video message, his movie was successful in gaining a peaceful release.
The ban will also likely affect "Raees" starring Mahira Khan, which is due for release in January.
