Hrithik to pair up with Kareena in 'Shuddhi'
Mishra confirmed that Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan will be the lead actors in 'Shuddhi'.
NEW DELHI (Web Desk) - The Bollywood adaptation of ‘The Immortals of Meluha’ – ‘Shuddhi’ will have Hrithik Roshan playing the male lead as Shiva.
Hrithik has already given his nod to the Karan Johar production which will be directed by ‘Agneepath’ maker Karan Malhotra.
However, the makers have been scouting for the female lead opposite Hrithik. Actresses like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor were considered to play Princess Sati.
Scriptwriter Piyush Mishra confirmed that Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan will be the lead actors in ‘Shuddhi’.
If Kareena clinches the role in ‘Shuddhi’, it will re-unite Hrithik-Kareena on-screen pairing in celluloid after almost 10 years.
The two actors have worked together in movies like ‘Yaadein’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge!’ and ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’.
They were considered as one of the hottest couples of Bollywood, but the duo stopped working together when the rumours of an affair between the two hit the headlines.
