LONDON (Haseeb Arslan) – Pakistani actress and social media sensation Hania Aamir was honored with the Star of Pakistan award at a prestigious ceremony held in the Jubilee Room of the UK Parliament.
The event, organized by Samara Events UK, was attended by dignitaries, media representatives, and members of the British-Pakistani community. The award was presented by Labour MP Afzal Khan, alongside Dr. Sarah Naseem, wife of Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, and Maria Saroya, CEO of Samara Events UK.
The event aimed to recognize Hania Aamir’s international success as an actress, influencer, and cultural ambassador. Over the years, Aamir has gained immense popularity, not only in Pakistan but across South Asia, particularly in India, where she enjoys a significant fan following.
Speaking at the event, Afzal Khan MP praised Aamir’s contributions to the arts and entertainment industry. He noted, “Hania Aamir has become a powerful force in arts and culture. Her talent, humility, and ability to connect with audiences make her a true star. She has successfully represented Pakistan on an international stage and continues to inspire young artists.”
Upon receiving the award, Hania Aamir expressed her gratitude, stating: “It’s an absolute honor to be here. We must continue to make Pakistan proud and showcase its rich culture and talent. As a community, we should support one another and spread positivity wherever we go.”
Hania Aamir also highlighted the role of art in bridging divides between India and Pakistan, referring to the viral moment when Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh invited her on stage during his London concert last year. She said, “That moment created a lot of positivity. Art should be above politics, and we must focus on humanity and creativity.”
Rumessah Maria, a key organizer of the event, introduced Hania Aamir as an artist who has broken international boundaries and redefined the entertainment industry. She remarked, “Hania is not just an actress; she is a cultural ambassador and a youth icon. She has brought a fresh approach to acting and fashion and continues to inspire young people.”
Business leaders and community representatives also praised Hania Aamir’s contributions. Atta Haq, Chairman of Labour Asians Society, along with British business tycoon Mansoor Shafique, Professor Dr. Shahzad Qureshi, and Vice President of Labour Asians Society Hanif Khan, spoke about Hania’s influence on youth empowerment. They commended her for spreading positivity, confidence, and motivation among young people, especially women.
Beyond acting, Hania Aamir has emerged as a fashion icon and a major force in brand collaborations. She is currently the most-followed Pakistani celebrity on Instagram, reflecting her immense popularity and influence.
At the event, Hania Aamir playfully remarked about her frequent visits to the UK, joking, “I have been spending so much time in London that I might as well move here! But first, I’m heading back to Pakistan to celebrate Eid with my family and friends.”
