LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police on Wednesday claimed that the two under custody suspects, who had murdered two brothers over a dispute of Rs30, were killed in an alleged encounter in Raiwind.
According to a Lahore police spokesman, a police team was heading to an area of Raiwind for the arrest of the accomplices of the under custody accused in a van when it came under fire by the roadside hiding outlaws.
Police retaliated in their defence. As a result of the exchange of fire, the two under custody suspects lost their lives. They were identified as Owais and Shahzad, the spokesman added.
Chung CCD police launched a search operation for those who opened fire at police team.
A few days ago, a clip featuring some fruit vendors beating two persons with sticks and bats went viral. In this attack, the two persons received injuries. One of them succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital whereas the other died in hospital.
Later, police investigation revealed that the deceased were brothers and beaten to death over a dispute of Rs30 during buying fruits.
