PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - Police have arrested a prayer leader for allegedly assaulting a minor boy in Pishtakhara area near Peshawar.
According to details, the arrest was made as the boy’s father lodged a complaint against the suspect. The FIR quoted the father of eight-year-old boy as saying his son was abused by the prayer leader.
It added the prayer leader had assaulted the minor boy twice in the past. The suspect was later arrested by police under sections 337 and 295 (a) of the Pakistan Penal Code, and section 53 of the Child Protection Act.
