Police foil robbery bid, kill two bandits

PAKPATTAN (Dunya News) - Two robbers were killed in an alleged police encounter in the jurisdiction of police station Qabula.
Police said three robbers were chasing and firing at an oil tanker during a robbery bid, when the police arrived, the suspects opened fire on the officials. There was a fierce exchange of fire between the robbers and the police official near Ashfaq Nagar.
Police further said two robbers were seriously injured in the shooting and later died on the way to the hospital, adding that the third accomplice of the slain robbers managed to escape.
The slain robbers have not yet been identified and further investigation is underway, added the officials.
