FIA arrests Hawala-Hundi suspect in Karachi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banking Circle, in a major operation against Hawala Hundi, arrested Javed Ahmed, an accused Hawala Hundi trader from Karachi.
According to FIA officials, the accused Javed Ahmed was arrested from Bahadur Shah Market, MA Jinnah Road, who was working in the name of import and export.
According to officials, Rs1.2 million, 27 check books of various banks and TTs worth more than Rs23.5 million were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
Cash machines and stamps of various companies have also been recovered from the office of the accused.
