A security guard foiled a robbery bid in DHA Karachi after four robbers tried to snatch Rs500,000 from a citizen. The guard opened fire, forcing the suspects to flee empty-handed.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - A security guard foiled a robbery attempt against a citizen in the Defence area of Karachi.
According to police, the incident occurred in DHA’s Khayaban-e-Muhafiz where unidentified suspects attempted to rob a citizen.
However, the security guard acted bravely and thwarted their plan.
Police said the citizen was on his way after withdrawing Rs500,000 from a bank when four robbers intercepted him and tried to snatch the cash.
Spotting the gate of a nearby bungalow open, the citizen quickly entered the premises to seek safety.
The robbers followed him inside the bungalow. During this tense situation, the security guard opened fire, forcing the suspects to flee without taking the money.
Police officials confirmed that the timely action of the guard prevented the robbery and the suspects managed to escape from the scene.
