PCB 3-member tribunal to unveil spot-fixing scandal today
The briefing will feature how Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif were involved in PSL fixing scandal
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) 3-member tribunal will unveil the PSL spot-fixing scandal on Friday. The board is expected to present the gathered evidence in this regard.
The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) and legal team has made arrangements to brief the public about what actually happened.
The first evidence will be the video statements of both Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif in which they confess to contact with the bookie. Secondly, there is a reported evidence of telephonic conversation between cricketers and bookie.
The board officials will also tell how they caught the suspects. Lawyers of both players will submit answers regarding the evidence till May 10.
A meeting between Sharjeel Khan and board’s legal team will occur on May 15. On the other hand, Khalid Latif’s lawyer and board officials will meet on May 19.
The case will be heard on regular basis and the tribunal will present its recommendations to the board by the end of May.
