Political violence in the Middle East, sapping demand for emerging-market assets and strong dollar and yen pulled the Asian Markets down on Tuesday.Japans Nikkei 225 index was down 1 percent to 9,577.64, with investors unloading blue chip shares ahead of what is expected to be a punishing earnings season.Hong Kongs Hang Seng dropped 0.7 percent to 23,967.39. Mainland Chinas Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.3 percent to 2,957.73. Benchmarks in Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines were also down.South Koreas Kospi was down 0.3 percent to 2,208.97.
