WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that artificial intelligence will be a major topic of discussion when Chinese President Xi Jinping visits the United States on September 24.
Trump said the two leaders had already discussed AI during his visit to Beijing earlier this year, where he invited Xi to visit the White House.
"President Xi is coming over on September 24th, and we talked about it (artificial intelligence) when I was over in Beijing, and we'll be talking about it again," Trump said.
Xi's planned visit follows the leaders' meeting in China earlier this year and is expected to include discussions on key bilateral issues, with artificial intelligence set to feature prominently on the agenda.
