SICHUAN (Dunya News) – The archeologists have found a 3,000-year-old ceremonial gold mask in China’s Sichuan province.
According to the country’s National Cultural Heritage Administration, the artifact that weighs about 280 grams (0.6 pounds) was one of 500 Bronze-Age relics unearthed from six newly discovered "sacrificial pits”.
The experts said, “This discovery could provide new insights on the ancient Shu state, which ruled the area before 316 BC."
It is to be mentioned here that over 50,000 ancient artifacts have been found at Sanxingdui since the 1920s.
