Summary Chahat's parents, as well as the doctors, are surprised, yet worried about her overweight
(Web Desk) – An eight-month-old girl weighing over 17 kgs in the Indian Punjab has caused serious concerns for her parents. The weight of this obese baby is no less than any four-year-old baby.
Since birth, Chahat’s weight kept on increasing. Her parents addressed their concerns to doctors who conducted medical checkups. The doctors suggested that a proper treatment of the girl wasn’t possible as a blood sample could not been attained easily.

While commenting on her daughter’s condition, Chahat Kumar’s mother Reena said that the girl was born with normal weight but she had starting gaining weight after four months. “Her demands of food and milk are greater than other kids. Chahat gets hungry too often,” she added. Reena wants her daughter to lead a normal life.
On the other hand, Reena’s father Suraj Kumar told that doctors were finding it difficult to collect blood samples because of her abnormal hard skin. Her treatment will not be possible without collection of proper blood sample.
The eight-month-old suffers from various health hazards like difficulty in breathing and sleeping. A doctor told that Chahat’s weight was increasing at an alarming rate. He advised the couple to confine her eating habits and said that she was currently eating like a 10-year-old child.
