In fact, the doctor was not even sure whether the Mississippi couple already knew about it or not. When the doctor gave them this shocking news, they started laughing immediately. The doctor insisted on it being true but the wife repeatedly asked him to call it a joke.
While recollecting the events, the doctor told, “The husband said that a lot of people were surprised of them having same birthdays and how the two looked similar to each other. They always thought of it as a funny coincidence.”
The twin’s parents had died in a car crash when they were infants. Both of them were adopted by different parents and didn’t know about a twin sibling.
The couple met in college and shared same background. They tied the knot as a result of mutual affection. The doctor located their documents and discovered that both husband and wife shared same birth year i.e. 1984.
While assessing the DNAs, doctor’s lab assistant found out that the two had same pattern, assuming that they could be first cousins. But later on, it was discovered that they were twins which could be one of the reasons why they were having trouble conceiving a child.
