Relatives and neighbours of a person murdered in Layyah protested against the police for supporting the accused during investigations, reported Dunya News on Thursday.Ghulam Farid Maitla, resident of a neighboring colony Chandia, was having a dispute with his first wife upon which Mushtaq Hussain Maitla along with his accomplices assassinated Ghulam Farid. Police filed FIR and arrested the accused but the relatives of the deceased claimed that the police had given technical advantage to the murderers during investigation. The investigation officer has been changed on request of the plaintiff and the new investigation officer Akram Gorchani visited the crime scene and recorded statements of witnesses.
