Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf reaffirms full readiness to defend national sovereignty and maritime borders at the Command and Staff Conference in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Navy remains fully prepared to defend the nation’s maritime borders and safeguard national sovereignty, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf said on Wednesday.
He emphasised the Navy’s unwavering readiness to respond to any challenge and protect every inch of the country’s sea frontiers.
According to the DGPR Navy, Admiral Ashraf made these remarks while chairing the Command and Staff Conference at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. The high-level meeting brought together senior naval officers to review the force’s operational preparedness, ongoing initiatives and future programmes.

The Naval chief underscored the significance of maintaining a constant state of combat readiness to effectively tackle evolving security challenges. He highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s pivotal role in ensuring regional maritime peace, stability and security, particularly in safeguarding trade routes and the nation’s economic interests in the Arabian Sea.
He noted that the Command and Staff Conference serves as the Pakistan Navy’s premier decision-making platform, where strategic policies and operational frameworks are formulated in alignment with national security objectives.
Participants at the conference conducted a detailed evaluation of operational preparedness and reviewed progress on ongoing development projects. The forum also discussed upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing the Navy’s capabilities through modernisation, training and technological advancement.
The attendees were further briefed on the preparations for the upcoming Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC), which will bring together regional and international stakeholders to promote maritime cooperation and innovation.
The conference concluded with a reaffirmation of the Navy’s commitment to defending Pakistan’s maritime interests and contributing to national and regional stability.
