Ahsan calls for joint efforts to meet challenges of world and climate change

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of damaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Addressing an event, Ahsan took a jibe at the PTI, saying, "The investors' confidence dropped significantly during the PTI-led government".

"The CPEC projects will be taken forward for the welfare of the people. However, concerted efforts were urgently needed to take the CPEC forward," he maintained.

He stressed the need for promoting education, tourism, and culture through the CPEC.

Speaking about the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative, Ahsan said: "The project [the Belt and Road Initiative] is an important project of the CPEC."

Ahsan emphasised the joint efforts to meet the challenges of the world and climate change.

He said that the Russia-Ukraine war had affected the economy of the whole world. "The entire world had to face the consequences of the war," Ahsan added.
