GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – Minister for Energy Khurram Dastagir Khan said on Saturday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will decide on appointment of new army chief after consulting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif in Britain.
Addressing a press conference in Gujranwala on Saturday, he said that no change is being made in the net metering system, no change will be made for those whose houses have solar panels, and there will be a reduction in the fuel price adjustment from October.
Regarding the appointment of a new army chief, he claimed that PM Shehbaz Sharif will decide on the appointment of the army chief with the advice of Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the PML-N in London.
The federal minister said, without mentioning the name of Imran Khan, he can hold as many meetings as he wants, but the final decision will be taken by the prime minister. "If Imran Khan is a well-wisher of the people, he should go to Khairpur Nathan Shah," he said.
When asked about Maryam Nawaz s disagreement on the increase in petrol prices, Khurram Dastgir replied that Maryam Nawaz is the vice-president of the party, so there is a difference of opinion in the party.
