ECP had sought NA speaker's explanation on alleged election code violation.
SWABI (Dunya News) – Counsel of Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser has sought more time to file reply over alleged audio clip of the speaker.
According to details, the counsel has asked District Monitoring Officer of Election Commission to grant time till December 15.
The ECP had asked Asad Qaiser to explain his position about an alleged violation of its code of conduct for the upcoming local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a notice, Swabi district election commissioner Sardar Mazhar Hussain, who also holds the office of the district monitoring officer, directed the National Assembly speaker to appear before him or send in his counsel for the purpose on Dec 13.
