Development funds will be transferred to grass-roots level under new local bodies system

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday reiterated his government’s commitment to run the country on the basis of the fundamentals of the State of Madina.

He said this in his meeting with the students of Cadet College Mastung. Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal was also present at the meeting. Students discussed different topics with the prime minister.

Speaking on the occasion PM Khan said that development funds will be transferred to grass-roots level under the new local bodies system.

The prime minister went on to say that provision of development funds at village level will help address backwardness in Balochistan.

Khan said: “An all-out effort will be made for development and progress of the province.”

He said that in Balochistan water crisis and increasing population have become a serious problem. “A comprehensive program needs to be devised to overcome water shortage in Balochistan,” he added.

Three education systems have given rise to problems in the country, adding that the government is taking measures to introduce uniform and quality curriculum across the country.

The premier said that a new system of sports will be introduced in the country so that the youth has full opportunities to demonstrate their talent in sports.
