Imran Khan should clarify his stance on NRO: Marriyum
The PML-N spokesperson also demanded of the prime minister to offer an apology to the masses.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday said Imran Khan should clarify as to who was seeking a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
Talking to media outside the accountability court in Islamabad, Marriyum said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif were already facing court cases.
“Whose NRO is it about? Who is seeking an NRO? Imran Khan should clarify all the fuss he has created,” she added.
The PML-N spokesperson also demanded of the prime minister to offer an apology to the masses, saying Imran Khan had backtracked on his decision of not to approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday lashed out at PML-N and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), stating that both the parties who have been ruling Pakistan for the last 10 years have accumulated Pakistan’s debts from Rs6,000 bn to Rs30,000 bn.
“Today they have the audacity to unite against us and overthrow us on basis of ‘administrative failure’. We haven’t even started operating in full swing as of now. We are just auditing what has happened in past.
“They are trying to blackmail us. But if these parties want to protest, they’re more than welcome. We will give them container. We will also give them dinner everyday but what we will never give them an NRO,” he added.
