Sindh governor reiterates PTI govt's resolve to hold corrupt accountable
Imran Ismail expressed concern over the poor condition of hosptials in Mithi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Monday urged collecetive efforts in order to provide better healthcare facilites to the masses.
Talking to media at the residence of Functional League leader Shafqat Shah, the governor expressed concern over the poor condition of hosptials in Mithi.
He said it was a matter of concern that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wanted to model the province on Europe but no concrete steps had been taken in the last 10 years.
Ismail said health and education were transferred to provincial governments following the 18th Amendment, adding that Sukkur needed special attention of the chief minister.
He said that the rich and powerful were not tried in courts in the past but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party set a precedent by holding the most powerfal man accountable.
Anyone involved in corruption will have to face accountability, he added.
